This huge fireplace was installed into a large country house where we had already supplied 8 stoves. The client engaged us prior to ground being broken on their large orangery-style extension to the dining room. With a large seating area in the new space they wanted a fire to be visible from both sides and large enough to be not just a feature but to separate the spaces. We explored a number of options before this incredible Stuv 125 tunnel wood fire was chosen with its rusted steel framework made from oxidised then stabilised steel. These frames can be bespoke in colour and save not only a great deal of extra building work but also integrate all the air inlets.
